The Fellowship of Afro-Episcopal Churches
About the Fellowship
The Fellowship of Afro-Episcopal Churches (FAEC) is an official auxiliary branch of the African Episcopal Church, established under the canonical authority of the Presiding Archbishop and Primate.
FAEC exists to unite liturgical and sacramental churches of African descent – those who share Episcopal order, apostolic faith, and a passion for cultural and spiritual restoration.
Through shared worship, theological reflection, and cooperative ministry, the Fellowship promotes an Afrocentric expression of the Catholic and Apostolic faith – one that honors both Scripture and the sacred heritage of the African world.
“They that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:24
Our Mission
To build a fellowship of Afro-Episcopal churches and believers dedicated to:
Reclaiming the Sacred – Restoring African dignity within the altar and sacred space.
Restoring Dignity – Affirming the beauty and identity of African-descended worshipers.
Renewing the Altar – Decolonizing liturgy and theology for the healing of the Church.
FAEC serves as a spiritual, liturgical, and educational bridge between Episcopal jurisdictions of African descent – empowering clergy, laity, and parishes to express their faith with authenticity, creativity, and cultural integrity.
Our Vision
A unified global network of Afro-Episcopal and African-descended liturgical churches standing together in faith, heritage, and mission – renewing the witness of the Church through the richness of African spirituality and apostolic order.
