Saint John – Apostle and Evangelist
Feast Day: December 27

Today we celebrate Saint John, the beloved disciple of Jesus, Apostle, and Evangelist. The “Apostle of Love,” John was intimately connected with Christ, and a spectator of His glory, the Transfiguration and the Crucifixion.
In John’s Gospel and letters, God’s love is shown, and a willingness to live in his light. We are also reminded of this in his words: “God is love, and whoever lives in love lives in God, and God lives in them” (1 John 4:16).
As we reflect on his life and witness, may we be inspired to grow in our love for God and others, sharing the Good News with joy and conviction.
Prayer:
Lord, through the intercession of Saint John, Apostle, and Evangelist, deepen our faith, increase our love, and grant us the courage to proclaim Your truth. Amen.
Blessed Feast of Saint John!
