WELCOME to the AFRICAN EPISCOPAL CHURCH
The African Episcopal Church is an international church of faithful believers dedicated to the preservation and celebration of African heritage, culture, and spirituality within the life of the Christian faith. We affirm that our identity as people of African descent is both sacred and inseparable from our call to follow Christ.
Our Mission
It is the mission of the African Episcopal Church to call together the people of God, scattered to the four corners of the earth, and unite them as one body, one faith, and one people under the banner of Yahusha HaMaschiach, our Lord, our Redeemer, and our soon-coming King.
Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we seek to restore the dignity of our people, proclaim the Good News of salvation, and build the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven.
Honoring Traditions:
At the African Episcopal Church, we cherish the timeless traditions that have been passed down through generations. Our worship services, liturgical practices, and community rituals are deeply rooted in the Episcopal faith, providing a spiritual anchor in an ever-changing world.

A Movement of Faith, Heritage, and Unity
The Fellowship of Afro-Episcopal Churches (FAEC) is the official auxiliary body of the African Episcopal Church (AEC) — uniting liturgical and sacramental churches of African descent who share Episcopal order, apostolic faith, and the sacred mission of restoring the beauty and dignity of African Christian worship.
FAEC stands at the heart of a global movement to decolonize the altar, reaffirm African theological identity, and strengthen unity among all who walk in the Anglican, Episcopal, and sacramental tradition throughout Africa and the diaspora.
“We need not choose between the Cross and our culture – for in Christ, both are redeemed.”
– The Most Rev. D. E. Chase, Ph.D., OSP
Presiding Archbishop & Primate, African Episcopal Church
Our Mission
To serve as a spiritual, liturgical, and educational fellowship dedicated to:
Reclaiming the sacred roots of African Christian faith
Restoring dignity and cultural integrity within worship
Renewing the altar through Afrocentric theology and sacramental life
